A Message to Our Nest Owners: Nest DC's Commitment to Property & Community Safety

Nest DC

A Message to Our Nest Owners:

This is a tender time in the world and in Washington, DC. Our city is vulnerable to civil unrest and disruption, and we are preparing for this possibility. Unfortunately, we have practice. Our primary focus is safety and security. Our preparation includes clear communication to you, our clients, and to your residents, as well as our vendors—those who serve your properties.

We will be messaging directly about emergency preparedness and expectations for congestion, protests, or other gatherings. Vice President Kamala Harris will spend election night at her alma mater, Howard University. Like the 70,000 people she convened on the 28th, we may expect crowds in that area and other parts of the city.

Here are the steps we've taken to prepare:

  1. Materials to board up windows and doors (we hate putting that in writing but...)
  2. Office staff will work remotely Wednesday-Friday of election week
  3. Field-based team members will be scheduled outside of the urban core, and we will be poised to pull them from the field if needed

Again, our priority is safety and security, first and foremost. All of us at Nest DC wish you, and America, the very best next week. In the meantime, we're here to tend to residents and your investments, and we continue to appreciate your partnership.

See our note to your Nest residents,
